The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) of 753 was to be received by the candidates who were nominated for PNP(Provincial Nominee Program). The candidates for a provincial nomination were immediately allocated 600 points due to which the CRS was higher than usual. 172 is the score that a candidate would get if not nominated by PNP.

The lowest-scoring candidates were invited only after presenting their profile before the due date. This rule was set on December 15, 2021, for the draw.

A number of 827 PNP nominees with a minimum score of 772 were invited by IRCC(Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) for the previous Express Entry PNP nomination.

How can I get a PNP Express Entry draw invitation?

There are different nominee programs for each province in the country. Each province has separate and unique eligibility criteria and at the same time, there are many programs that require you to have a connection to apply such as a family member or work experience, etc.

A lot of overseas workers have an access to the programs where they can apply without a connection to the province.

Express Entry applications are scanned by a lot of PNPs(Provincial Nominee Program) to send invites to the candidates with the required skills and work experience.

Due to the changes in the demographic needs PNP Express Entry draw requirement also changes.

Invitations for CEC and FSWP candidates reopen in July

New applications for Express Entry will be processed in the 6 months’ time mentioned by the Minister. Meanwhile, on April 22 the IMSF(Immigration Minister Sean Fraser) announces to resume the FSWP(Federal Skilled Worker Program) and CEC(Canadian Experience Class) Express Entry invitations by July.

From September 2021, CEC Express Entry draws were on hold while FSWP Express Entry candidates were on hold since December 2020. Both the draws have currently exceeded the standard service processing time of 6 months. To process the highly demand skilled applications IRCC(Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has resumed the Express Entry draw which will also help in the regulation of the increasing backlog.

Express Entry is bearing the role of providing the foreign worker talent a chance to immigrate to Canada and create a better future for themselves which also helps in the growth of Canada’s thriving economy.

In the media reports as of April 22, IRCC mentions a reduced backlog of the Express Entry applications. In March 2022, The Express Entry candidate’s applications have been to around 48000. There is also a great improvement in the permanent resident backlog from January to March 2022, with nearly 156,000 PR applications processed for the decisions.

According to a media report, IRCC has a target to welcome nearly 110,000 candidates for immigration by 2024, which is good news for many aspiring candidates.

 What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is a system that helps to regulate and manage the applications for immigrants.  It mainly manages three types of immigration programs for candidates which are FSTP(Federal Skilled Trades Program), CEC(Canada Experience Class), and FSWP(Federal Skilled Worker Program).

PNP Express Entry candidates should at least pass one of the above program requirements.

The candidates who apply for Express Entry are judged on the basis of a CRS(Comprehensive Ranking System). The candidates who are able to score high points are presented with an ITA(Invitation To Apply) and are eligible to apply for PR(Permanent Residence).

IRCC officer decides by reviewing the application of the candidate that it should be approved or not, the officer may ask for certain documents which are to be presented by the candidate in order to start the processing.

After the approval of the Express Entry application, the candidate gets a COPR(Confirmation Of Permanent Residence) by IRCC. This is how Express Entry works and immigrants are invited to Canada.
