1. Identity and civil status documents

  •  Birth certificate(s)- You need to have a birth certificate from the county you were born or an equivalent document for the New Brunswick stream. Moreover, you must provide a letter of explanation if the birth certificate is unavailable in your country.
  • Marriage divorce/health certificate(s)- You and your spouse must provide credentials for their marriage, divorce or death of a partner for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot.
  • Common-law union- The partner should upload a complete Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union Form (NB-008) along with the evidence of your cohabitation with your partner for continuous 12 months. In addition, you also have to provide copies of your joint bank accounts, utility bills, and copies of leases etc.
  • Passport(s)- You should show your biological data along with your spouse and accompanying dependent children.
  • Travel documents- You should submit your permit and visa which states proof of legal status in the resident country.
  • Children’s information:
    • Birth certificate (along with your parent’s name);
    • Adoption papers (if applicable);
    • Children’s custody proof under 18 years of age along with the evidence that your children may be taken out of the court’s jurisdiction;
    • Evidence of current or future academics in Canada along with the study permit, and other educational institutes confirmation letter;
    • You must submit a Statutory Declaration from one of the parents if they are not accompanying your minor children to Canada.

2. Eligibility documents

  • Language- A valid test result for language or an attestation letter uploaded by an employer in New Brunswick;
  • Education- A recognized university’s educational credentials assessment, or an attestation letter signed by your New Brunswick employer;
  • Work Experience- An official experience letter or reference letter on company letterhead from your previous employer, or an attestation letter uploaded by your employer in New Brunswick along with his signature.

3. Job offer documents

  • Employment contract- You should submit an official experience or work contract printed on a company’s letterhead for New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot including:
    • your name;
    • the contacts information of the company (i.e. telephone, address, number and email);
    • name, signature and title of the personnel officer or immediate supervisor at the company; including
    • positions held in the company while you were employed along with the duties, job title, responsibilities, working hours, working dates, and annual salary with benefits;
    • The letter must be dated, completed and signed by your New Brunswick employer and you.

4. Other documents

  • Consent and Declaration (NB-005)- Complete with the date and signed by you and your spouse. (This form is mandatory);
  • Use of Representative (NB-007)- Complete with the date and signed by you and your spouse;
  • Affidavit of Translation- You should provide the necessary documents for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot program;
  • Work permit(s)- Copy of expired and current work permits (if needed);
  • Settlement Plan- New  Brunswick’s settlement service provider’s individualized settlement plan, completed and signed by you and the settlement agency.

New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Processing fees

The processing fee for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot stream is Canadian $250 which you can pay with the help of MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Visa/Debit or INTERAC Online.

Lastly, the processing fees include your spouse, common-law partner, and dependent children. The fees are non-refundable.

Note: You along with your family members also need to pay the fees for police clearances, obtaining documents, medical examinations, and language testing. Additional fees may also include educational credential assessments, document translation, and net worth verification. These fees are not to be paid to GNB.
