 Atlantic Immigration  Program 2022

This program mainly targeted skilled immigrants and first came into existence in 2017. The Atlantic Immigration Program provided a chance for proficient workers to settle in Atlantic provinces. As this program was a huge success in January 2022 it was decided to make this program indefinite. This program also gives an opportunity to Atlantic Canadian employers to skip Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) only by appointing foreign nationals.

The employer must reach out to the employees with a delegate service provider if the job is accepted by the employees as the provider will assess the needs of the candidate and makes the settlement plan beforehand in case any family member is going to join them.

For the very first time, 1,564 new permanent residents were welcomed to Nova Scotia in order to uplift the population of the province to over one million people.
