Additional Eligibility Factors for NBCWP

After you meet all the eligibility requirements for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program, you must fulfil all the eligibility factors down below:

1. Age

The candidate must fall within the age group of 19-55 years. Your age is not considered by the date of registration but instead by the day, you submitted your complete application to GNB after receiving an ITA.

2. Official languages

You need to submit your test result where you have received a minimum or more than Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 for English or (NCLC) 4 Niveaux de competence linguistique for French in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Note: If you don’t receive a minimum or equivalent score of (CLB) 4 in reading, writing, speaking and listening for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot stream, then your employer from New Brunswick needs to submit a signed attestation letter for the nomination application.

3. Language tests

You need to have valid test results from one of the following organizations:

  1. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELIPI) General;
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) General Training;
  3. Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada (TCF Canada); or
  4. Test d’évaluation de français pour le Canada (TEF Canada).

When you submit the test result for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot program, it should be less than 2 years old. You can check the minimum score requirement from the table given below:

4. Work experience

You must have a working experience of 12 months of a minimum of 1,560 hours in the last five years.

Additionally, if the candidate doesn’t have the required work experience, your employer from New Brunswick needs to attach a signed attestation letter for the nomination application.

5. Education

To be eligible for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot stream, the candidate should at least have a foreign or a Canadian high school diploma which should be equal to the Canadian credentials. You will need an Educational Credential
Assessment (ECA) of less than 5 years old to prove a valid credential in case you have a foreign education.

Note: If you don’t have any of the above diplomas or Canadian credentials or a valid ECA report, your employer from New Brunswick should submit a signed attestation letter for your nomination report.

Processing fees for NBCWP

The processing fee for the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot stream is Canadian $250 which you can pay with the help of MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Visa/Debit or INTERAC Online.

Lastly, the processing fees include your spouse, common-law partner, and dependent children. The fees are non-refundable.

Note: You along with your family members also need to pay the fees for police clearances, obtaining documents, medical examinations, and language testing. Additional fees may also include educational credential assessments, document translation, and net worth verification. These fees are not to be paid to GNB.
